We cannot believe our LUCK in finding this company / this gentleman, Mario Gallant! If we could give more than 5 stars, we would :) He is the ultimate working master contractor. Including the education we gained through him regarding people, permits and materials locally in Levis, Quebec, he also shared his extensive knowledge and sourcing of international materials! He maintained the "Quebec-mediterranean" look and feel of our property while adhering to and assisting with design, budget, our needs and Quebec building codes. Just a few of the special projects done by Mario include; the renovation in the lower west wing (main level), of a very large tiled guest bedroom split into 2 rooms - now we have an incredible Butlers pantry and still have a large guest bedroom!; he painted and repaired outside stucco - beautiful white with dark wood contrast; he added shutters and an incredible custom door (colour matched to our existing interior doors from Italy!) to upper west wing primary suite; he replaced loft railings with half wall (colour matched to existing hardwood!) and brought height to code; and he also eased us through those "renovation surprises"! There are a few of those expected with an older home, but Mario adapted any issues into existing projects and applied good sense for the possibility of reusing and repurposing materials. We only have a couple projects left now after 2 + years! lol (when you find this kind of contractor, you find a lot of things to do!!) You can feel good about hiring Mario Gallant. Thank you, Mario, for your hard work and for being such a considerate person. Our house looks fantastic, inside and out!
