When is the best time to trim a hedge?

It is generally recommended to do a first trim at the end of spring. This is when the plant is least vulnerable and there is no longer any risk of frost. We also review the plant towards the end of summer, when new shoots require a lighter, but necessary, cut before winter.

When should I have my lawn mowed?

The period for mowing the lawn is between April and October. It is recommended to mow it once a week during the spring, then every two weeks during the summer. Of course, in very dry weather, it is best to avoid mowing the grass, as well as mowing it immediately after rain. It is not recommended to mow the lawn too early in the morning, due to morning dew.

How to maintain a lawn?

If you want your lawn to be beautiful and healthy, you need to start as soon as the snow disappears. Around April, it's good to clear the debris accumulated during the winter. Dead leaves, branches, pebbles and other debris are then removed by our team. This is called dethatching, which is followed by adding black soil where needed. Then, upon request, we add ripe compost or quality organic topsoil to nourish the soil and promote microbial activity. This allows the lawn to turn green and become denser. The topsoiling step (adding topsoil) is important in regions with long winters, which deplete the soil.
